Parole Preparation Assistance
This is comprised of three components: free parole workshops, preparation of parole packets for persons in prison preparing for their parole board appearances and preparation of appeals for people that are appealing from parole denials.
Community Education, Outreach, and Advocacy
This program consists of media appearances, appearances on criminal justice panels and workshops at conferences, lobbying legislators to amend statutes that are harmful to our clients and introducing new legislation that will assist our clients, and community outreach. We conduct informational sessions in the community on what to do if someone is stopped by the police or arrested. For outreach and education, we publish a newsletter, “The Deuce Club.” This publication contains vital information about the criminal justice system, particularly in regard to parole and updates on legislative bills.
Legal Assistance
CPR is an organization that provides assistance to anyone upon request by either referring the request to a suitable organization or providing assistance ourselves. We keep a list of attorneys who provide services to people in prison for criminal appeals, parole appeals, and a variety of civil cases including child support, divorce, etc.
We believe that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their past mistakes. Our mission is to support individuals in rebuilding their lives, fostering a community built on the principle of true rehabilitation.
